[edisjɔ̃gali'maːr], Verlag in Paris, dessen Entstehung und Ausrichtung mit der Zeitschrift »La Nouvelle Revue Française« im Zusammenhang steht. Als Gaston Gallimard (* 1881, ✝ 1975) 1911 zu den Herausgebern dieser Zeitschrift stieß, begann die Arbeit eines für die französische Literatur bedeutenden Buchverlags; 1919 Neuorganisation als »Librairie Gallimard«, Verlagsgebiete: Belletristik, fremdsprachige Literatur, Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft, Geschichte, Sozialwissenschaft, Philosophie, Kunst, Taschenbücher, Zeitschriften.
